Renaldo “Ronnie” Russell
started with Vital Signs in 2001 and was with us until November, 2008. A lucky break is that Ronnie was in the market this year at the same time we were back in the market for someone to fill that slot, and he’s back on the Vital Team. What a wonderful break for us all. And when he came in that first morning he said – ‘Gee, I already know where everything is!”
Ronnie was born in Denver, Colorado on March 24, 1980. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1998 and then attended The Art Institute of Dallas.
Ronnie has been a Graphic Design Professional for the last 10 years. “I live in McKinney with my lovely wife, Priscilla and our three beautiful children, our daughter, Ariel and 2 sons, Lucas and Brandon.
Going to school, my aim was to work for Pixar or Disney. We were not aware that the sign industry was a place for an artist to work. Since then the growth of the sign industry has been explosive. Demand and technology has put it in a place that competes with large marketing firms, giving small business Big Business tools! That growth and these tools have drawn this artist to this field.
Vital Signs is a company that has stood the test of time. It is also a place that has evolved through the past 25 years. As a graphic designer, Vital Signs is a place for me to grow into the future of signs, as well as keep in touch with the Sign Dogs, Painters & Artists that we really are.

I like the sign business because it’s one of the few places that a person can see the result of all their hard work. Most people only deal with one aspect of a job, do their part and simply send it off to be completed or finished by another person… Or perhaps they don’t even seethe end result at all. We have a continous hands-on approach at Vital Signs that allows us to see the project from sketch > design > production and some times the installation. There really is nothing more gratifying or satisfying than traveling passed a sign I created and seeing the client is receiving more business because of it. I thoroughly enjoy the fact that “We” at Vital Signs act more like a family rather than just employees and we treat our customers that way as well.
